Oxford Community Church turns 40!

Oxford Community Church celebrated our 40^th birthday on Sunday 9^th Feb and spent the day in celebration and thanksgiving for all that God has done.

The Scriptures command us to remember and celebrate God’s works: ‘One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts’ (Psalm 145:4)

Steve & Lorraine Thomas joined us to reflect on our original BIG vision of Building Family, Inspiring Students and Going to the Nations. Steve Jones celebrated some of the highlights of God’s abundance, recalled the many little ways in which He has shown his faithfulness, and prayed into what God might continue to do over the next 10 years. We then celebrated into the afternoon with lunch, activities, birthday cake, and the Great OCC Birthday Bake-Off – more cake!

We believe that these testimonies are part of our shared story as a family of churches. Take a moment to give thanks for all that God has done over many decades, and pray for God’s continued blessing among us as He continues to reach many villages, towns, cities and nations.
