We started off the academic year with our annual Charity Staff Day on 2 September. We gathered staff from every part of the organisation to worship and pray together for the year ahead.

Coffee and pastries were a welcome start to the day, as we caught up with one another and welcomed new staff who have joined the team.

After a time of worship, Steve Jones introduced our key theme verse for the morning, which was Isaiah 55:13: Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress; instead of the briar shall come up the myrtle; and it shall make a name for the Lord, an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

Steve expressed our hope for this next season – that while we are in a season of change, we have great hope for unity as we move into a season of peaceful and steady growth.

This led us into a time of prayer for the different areas of the organisation. Different ones of us shared testimonies of how they have seen God move over the past year, and we heard updates from the different areas of the charity. You can watch the recording of the whole morning here.

We shared lunch all together, after which The King’s School staff went off for some specific training while the rest stayed for some important safeguarding and HR updates. If you missed it, please catch up on the recording for the afternoon’s updates, which is here.

The day would not have been possible without the generosity of volunteers from Witney Community Church and Aston & Cote Community Church, who gave their time to provide refreshments and lunch – we are very grateful!

We are so thankful for everything that God has done for us as an organisation over the past year. We pray that over the coming year God will continue to bless us, and have faith that there will be much to celebrate at our gathering next year!
